Prayer for unsaved loved ones

Salvation prayer for unsaved loved ones

Praying for the salvation of a loved one can seem discouraging if we do not see positive changes. We must not give up despite what we observe on the outside. The greatest gift we can give to an unsaved loved one is to earnestly pray for them and trust God to remove the scales from their eyes so they can see His love for them.
We can also pray for them by taking the prayer request to the Courtroom of Heaven using this prayer: Pleading your case in the courtroom of heaven. Present your case before the Judge of Heaven and Earth against the conflicts you see in the person. (i.e. rebellion, anger, fear, unbelief, disobedience and so on).

Then come back and use the prayer below for ongoing confession and declaration over the person. This is not a quick fix, but a journey of faith and trust in the Lord. We have to trust God to fulfill and accomplish His will and purpose in our lives and those we are praying for. He is able to save, deliver, and set the captives free.

Our prayer is like a seed sown. We trust that the Lord will make the seed grow. Eventually, the seed will break out through the soil into the physical and become vibrant in the life of the person we are praying for. Even if you do not see changes right away, keep on praying for the person as led by the Holy Spirit. God is faithful and He will reward you. You should use the prayer below as a declaration over the person for thirty, forty days, and so on as led by the Holy Spirit. You can also reword it in the way that suits your situation.

Prayer

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people… This is good, and pleases God our Savior,  who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:1,3,4 NIV

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 NIV

I stand on the word of God from 2 Cor. 10:5 “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” NIV
